California Browncoats are entering our Villain Era - this year, we’re asking our favorite Firefly Bad Guys to choose our supported charity for each event!
Starting with WonderCon, we’re following the lead of Mark Sheppard, who has long supported Camp Conrad Chinnock. This worthy non-profit provides youth camping programs for kids with diabetes. These camping programs provide education, family, and individual support and are designed to see each and every child develop life-saving skills and reach a new level of confidence and self-esteem. Stop by our booth (number 889) to donate, play the chopstick game and buy some Browncoatey merch, with all proceeds going to Camp Conrad!
And if you're going to be at the con and have an hour or two free, why not volunteer at the booth? You’ll get to hang out with some cool people, recharge your phone, eat some snacks and help us support a really great cause! Fill out the volunteer form here and we will reach out!
Other fun WonderCon things we’re planning:
We will have Browncoat artist and mighty fine human Nick Kremenek doing a ‘for charity’ signing in our booth on Friday at 3 pm! Pick up something from his Artist Alley Booth (D-39) or from us - we have lots of shiny merch designed by Nick - and he will autograph it for a small donation to the charity.
Let’s meet up! Saturday (3/25) evening at 8 PM, we would love to hang out with any and all Browncoats in the area, in a really cool local spot! Requiem Cafe, 280 S Clementine St, Anaheim.
Finally, on Sunday (3/26) we will be helping Fandom Charities out with their interactive screening of Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog! Cheer for Dr. Horrible! Cheer for Penny! Cheer for Moist! Cheer for the Freeze Ray! Cheer, or whatever, for "Captain Hammer, Corporate Tool!" Just have fun and be sure to make Bad Horse gleeful. Sunday, March 26th from 3:00pm - 4:15pm in room North 200A. See you there!
We are so excited to be seeing our Browncoat family this weekend. Stop by, say hi, support a great cause and let's re connect!
And as always, keep flyin'!
Some new stuff you'll find at the booth!
